In The Sinking WorldAndreas Franke creates surreal dreamworlds by combining sceneries from past days with photographs of sunken ships.
The project consists of three series which play on various shipwrecks in several epoques. The pictures were exhibited underwater on said wrecks to be admired by divers for several months
Due to Franke’s signature technique the ocean itself eventually created a patina from various microorganisms, making every piece unique.
